Ocracoke Preservation Society & Museum, Ocracoke Island, NC
The Ocracoke Preservation Society (OPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Ocracoke Island's rich historical and cultural heritage.
Our museum houses a collection of Ocracoke historical items, a research library, special exhibits that change each year, and a gift shop. The museum is open from Easter through Thanksgiving.
OPS organizes events throughout the year, including summer porch talks, art openings, events for members only, a Wassail party, and new this year, a winter historical house tour.
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope your will find our site interesting and informative. Visit often as we expand our site - and please visit our Facebook page to see up-to-the-minute Ocracoke photos and information.
